855-ACB "Anaerobic" Glove Box (2 stations) w/ Transfer Chamber includes 2 Pumps
"Anaerobic Chamber"
855-Series
The 855-AC (Anaerobic Chamber) has been designed for manually controlling your atmosphere when working with Oxygen sensitive materials. It is perfect for working in situations requiring low levels of Oxygen during critical isolation of the operator or your research materials. Any inert gas may be used.
Its main advantage is minimizing the risk of Oxygen entry into the main working chamber. If trace amounts of Oxygen happen to enter the main chamber, the Catalyst Heater reduces it to water vapor. The drying train can then be activated to remove any excess water vapor.
The 855-AC is offered as a complete system ready to use. There are no other components required. All you need to add are your work samples and your gas of choice.
This glove box has a capacity of 348 culture plates when using our suspended shelf accessory. Please refer to the Accessories Section (800-SHELF-1).
The Basic Chemical Reaction.
The internal atmosphere is drawn off the floor of the glove box and is pushed up through the heating elements and the warm Palladium (Pd) pellets. The Hydrogen in the special gas mixture then reacts with trace amounts of Oxygen to create water vapor. The excess water vapor is then absorbed by the Molecular Sieve™ in the three drying train canisters. The canisters are rechargeable.

What's Included:
Programmable Catalyst Heater units (800-HEATER) and palladium canisters (800-PC) have two main functions; To reduce trace amounts of oxygen and maintain the correct incubation temperature level for cultivating anaerobes. The temperature range is ambient to 42.0° C.
The Palladium Canister can be rejuvenated by heating it in a hot oven for three (3) hours at 450°F, (232°C).
Two (2) Palladium Canisters are included.
Easy-to-use "Touch Screen" controls with
oxygen analyzer, pressure hold function,
password protection, and chamber
selection.
The Drying Train System and Pump are factory mounted and include three (3) canisters filled with molecular sieve. The drying train
system is designed to reduce moisture and trace amounts of oxygen inside the glove box.
The #870-CLC “Closed Loop” Isolator is a completely automated negative pressure containment glove box.
The system is engineered and programmed to maintain a slight negative working pressure to ensure the containment of your specimens (-0.5” of H2O). The internal atmosphere is continually filtered by two (2) HEPA filters. Filters are rated at 99.9997% efficiency and can be changed over from within the isolator for safety. During the changeover, contaminated filters do not come into direct contact with the operator.
These isolators may be coupled together in trains for multiple station work processes. They can be set up for up to four (4) sets of glove ports (operators). Two operators on both the front and back walls.
Stainless steel support cart with locking casters INCLUDED!
